What is not enough milk?

-Baby is losing weight
-Baby is unsettled
-Baby is not having 10-12 wet nappies a day, faeces are dry, hard to pass
-The reason milk supply could be poor is due to poor positioning and attachment; not feeding enough or long enough at the breast; giving baby a dummy rather than offer him the breast; smoking and some medications can effect supply.
-To increase milk supply make sure baby is well positioned and attached at the breast; offer breast more frequently to increase supply; express after a feed to empty breast and subsequently stimulate to make more milk.
-Make sure you eat a well balanced diet, rest and drink plenty of water.

10-12 wet nappies? Are you sure?

I am thinking they mean a plain old terry cloth nappy?

Disposable and modern cloth I would expect maybe 5-6 a day, certainly not 10-12.

I wouldn't have expressing as the first port of call with a low supply, it is disheartening for the woman which is not conducive to making milk. Make sure attachment is optimum get lots of skin to skin and spend time just being with your baby close.

There are natural herbals that have been proven to work, fenugreek, fennel alfalfa nettle. You can get these as drops from shops like Marne's herbals on cross road or in the form of teas,. You can even soak fennel and fenugreek if your game. It's easy and a natural proven way to boost your supply effectively.
the first intervention of a healthy pregnant woman is leaving the front door.
